Horizontal Waterfall
Vertical Waterfall
Description
- Diagram made of vertical/horizontal linked bars.
- 1 to 5 indicators can be defined and stacked (or not).
- 1 or 2 dimensions can be used to get a fold/unfold chart.
- Possibility to use the functionality of linked elements on this graph.
Parameters
- Dimensions 1 : Dimension 1
- Dimension 2 : [Optional] level 2
- Measure 1 : Measure 1
- Measure 2 : [Optional] measure 2
- Measure 3 : [Optional] measure 3
- Measure 4 : [Optional] measure 4
- Measure 5 : [Optional] measure 5
Animation
- Move the mouse over the graph to bring up the tooltip.
- If 2 dimensions are provided and fold/unfold is enabled, move mouse over the total bars to unfold the corresponding group, move the mouse over the grand total to fold/unfold all the groups (move again over the grand total to get the opposite action).
Navigation
Use the Webi native element link function to make this graph interact with other elements of the same report (native Webi tables / graphs and / or Need4Viz graphs). Element binding can be defined on all objects or individually on one of the dimensions of the graph.

For the Watefall graph, the available parameters are :
Global
- Palette et Style
- General: You can use the palette tool to define the colors used to build the graph.
Extended Parameters
- Global → See the user guide for the “Global” section here
- Menu → See the user guide for the “Menu” section here
- X_Axis & Y_Axis → See the user guide for the “Axes” section here
- Options
- Chart : This setting allows you to choose an horizontal or vertical orientation of the chart. You can also enable stack of measures and fold/unfold of dimension's hierarchy.
- Colors : This setting allows you to apply a gradient color for the graph.
- Column border : You can rounded here the borders of the columns
- Column links : Set here the style of the links between columns of the Waterfall chart

- Tooltip → See the user guide for the “Tooltip” section here
- Labels
- Values labels : This setting allows you to display or not the unitary measure values. You can also display the labels outside the bars.
- Cumulation values : This setting allows you to display or not the cumulative values and specify the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the measurement accuracy. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
- Total / Sub-totals : You can change the label and the font of total values

- Options-Measure1..5
- Values : This setting allows you to specify the name of the measure in the labels (replaces the Webi object name), the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the maximum number of decimal places. You can also set the font of the label value. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
- Colors : You can set here specific colors for positive/negative values.
