Common Settings for "Controls" section in Extended Parameters

This is the details of the “Controls” settings you can find in the Extended Parameters section of the N4V elements.
Depending on charts, some options may not be available on “Controls” settings.

• Affect selection in a Webi variable: You can define here a Webi variable that will receive the selected value (when you click on a drill/slice/bar/line of a widget). This will not affect the native Webi Liking Element that could be used in the same time. You can define too a default reset value for the variable (by default, “#N4V_ALL value is sent to the Webi variable when a previously selected segment is unselected).

• Input Controls reinit option : This setting allows you to choose the input controls that must be reset or not. If “All except specified” is set and no list is feeded, all report input controls will be reset when selection is done. You can also choose the type of action to perform on the input control(s): Reset or send “All values” (this allows the input control to use a default value on reset ).

• Variables reset option : This setting allows you to reset your Webi variables during the selection (use ”;“ separator). A reset default value can also be defined (default value is #N4V_ALL).

• Filters & Drill levels storage : This parameter makes it possible to delete from the cache of the user's browser, all the values of the last drill levels operated on the current report. All drillable components of the current report will therefore be reset to their main level. The previous filters values (in the Table Filter…) will be reset too.
