Common Settings for "Global" section in Extended Parameters
This is the details of the “Global” settings you can find in the Extended Parameters section of the N4V elements.
Depending on charts, some options may not be available on “Global” settings.
Updated for N4V 2025.2.10
- Global
- Title of the chart: Set and define here the Title & Subtitle of the component. You can use, inside the strings, N4V specific variables as described here → Chart title
- Palette colors : Select here the global palette of colors you want to use in the chart → the default set is Webi palette (in this case the palette used will be the standard defined in “Global/Palette and Style” section) but you can choose a custom palette pre-defined on the Need4Viz server (ask your N4V administrator to define a new palette if needed).
- Background color: This setting allows you to choose the type of colorization for the background of the graph. Several styles and colors are available. You can choose one or 2 colors with a gradient. You can also set a transparent background, in this way, you can overlay 2 charts or use an image as background of your Webi report.
- Numeric format: this parameter is used to define the numeric format used in the component (thousands separator and decimal separator).
- Animation: This setting allows you to choose the type of animation sought during the initial display of the graph, the global chart will be displayed on the page with the effect selected (zooming, fading, sliding). The other animation options give the ability to manage the delay and duration of the animations inside the chart (display of the lines/columns, needles animation…). If you set 0 on duration, no animation will be set (the chart will be static).
- Frame style: This setting allows you to apply a style to the border of the overall window of the graphic component. The border corners can be rounded (identical rounding for the 4 corners or 2 separate roundings for the opposite corners). The thickness, shape and color of the border can also be changed. The border style will also be applied during the HTML export of the component (provided that the generated HTML is incorporated into an Iframe), however during a PDF/XLS export, only the shape and color of the border will be applied (the rounding of the frame will not be preserved).
- Max rows in input: This parameter specifies the maximum number of lines allowed as input to the component by your N4V administrator. You can override this limit, only for this current chart.
- Custom CSS style: Here you can add your own custom CSS style, which will then be added to the final HTML output. Do not include the start and end “style” tags (they will be added automatically by the N4V engine).
