Render

Description

  • OpenStreetMap map geolocates data (latitude / longitude) and can optionally display a tooltip.
  • Defining an additional dimension and an associated measure also displays a chart (Pie, Pie3D, Donut, or Bar) around the pin.
  • Users may add annotations on the map (calculation of distances, areas, drawings …) if drawing tools are enabled.

Parameters

  • Dimension 1 : Latitude
  • Dimension 2 : Longitude
  • Dimension 3 : Tooltip
  • Dimension 4 : Dimension for the pie chart
  • Measure 1 : Main measure for the pie chart
  • Measure 2 : [Optional] Second measure for pin color

Animations

Animations and actions available in this chart :

  • Map is fit and centered to display all your data. You can move the map and zoom it.
  • Moving the mouse over the pie chart will display the tooltip
  • Moving the mouse over the map, the latitude and longitude coordinates display in bottom left under the map
  • By selection in the “Chart type” list, you can dynamically change dynamically the appearance of the pie (pie → pie3D → donut → bars)
  • By selection in the “Drawing” list, you can draw on the map :
    • Draw a line : click-down your mouse at the beginning of your line. Release the button at the end of the line.
    • Draw a polygon : click-down your mouse at the beginning of your polygon. Release the button at the end of the polygon.
    • Draw a circle : click-down your mouse at the center of your circle. Release the button at the end of the radius of the circle.
    • Measure a length : click for the first point then for each new point of your break line. Double click to mark the end of the break line. The line becomes yellow and the distance is displayed.
    • Measure an area : click for the first point then for each new point of your area. Double click to mark the end of the area. The zone becomes yellow and the area is displayed.
    • Nothing / Scroll the map : select this value to disable the drawing mouse cursor and to back to initial statement, you can now scroll the map…
  • Button “Clear the drawings” : click (many times if needed) to delete all drawings you made on the map.

For the OpenStreetMap , the available parameters are :

Global

  • Palette and Style
    • General : You can use the palette tool to define the colors used to build the widget.

Extended parameters

  • Global → See the user guide for the “Global” section here
  • Menu → See the user guide for the “Menu” section here
  • Maps
    • Main map : Choose here the provider of the main background map (Openstreetmap…)
    • Secondary layers : You can select here additional layers to display on the map (railways, natural parks…)
  • Options
    • General display : This setting allows you to hide or display the different tools and buttons on the widget. You can also set the unit system for the distances (kilometers/miles)
    • Cartographic settings : This setting allows you to define the initial zoom level and the method for centering the map.

  • Legend
    • Display → Choose here to display/hide the legend
    • Colors → Define here the colors of the background and the border of the circles in the legend
    • Titles → Update here the titles and their style for the circles and for the pins legend
    • Elements → Set here the style of the labels of the items in the legend
  • Chart
    • Chart type : This setting allows you to choose the type of chart (Pie, Pie3D, Donut, Bar).
    • Size : Define a min and max size of the pie charts on the map.
    • Stroke : Set the stroke (color and width borders) of the pies.
    • Opacity : You can set the opacity of the charts on the map.
  • Measures
    • Measure display : This setting allows you to specify the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the main measure accuracy. You can also choose to hide measure percentage and/or aggregation in the tooltip. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
    • Second measure display : This setting allows you to specify the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the second measure accuracy. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
  • Region_color
    • Pin size : This setting allows you to choose the percentage of the pin size in the map.
    • Range 1 to 5 : This setting allows you to choose the minimum and maximum values ​​for each interval. You can also choose an SVG to apply to the pin and its color. Also, set a label for each interval so that the corresponding item is displayed in the legend.
    • Out of range : This setting allows you to choose the SVG and color for out-of-range values. Also, set a label for each range so that the corresponding item is displayed in the legend.
    • Null values : This setting allows you to choose the SVG and color for null values. Also set a label for each interval so that the corresponding item is displayed in the legend.
