Render

Description

  • Visualize the evolution of 1 measure for a dimension on a continuous time axis.
  • The time axis must be continuous and can be defined with numeric values for Year, [Month], [Day], [Hours (24h)], [Minutes], [Seconds].
  • Possibility to add icons for each dimension values (on the X-Axis or near the end of the bar).

Parameters

  • Dimension 1 : Dimension for Year. Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Dimension 2 : [Optional] Dimension for Month. Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Dimension 3 : [Optional] Dimension for Day. Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Dimension 4 : [Optional] Dimension for Hour (24H). Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Dimension 5 : [Optional] Dimension for Minute. Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Dimension 6 : [Optional] Dimension for Second. Must be a numeric and non null value.
  • Category : Dimension for the bars
  • URL icon : [optional] URL of icon to represent the value of the dimension (Expected format : “http://...”)
  • Measure 1 : Measure to display

Animations

  • Display the tooltip(s) when you move the mouse over the points of the chart.
  • Use the bottom stop/play-pause buttons or the range slider to animate the race.

For the Bar Chart Race, the available parameters are :

Global

  • Palette and Style
    • General : You can use the palette tool to define the colors used to build the graph.

Extended parameters

  • Global → See the user guide for the “Global” section here
    • Animation : you can choose to not start automatically the race on refresh and/or not loop the race.
  • Menu → See the user guide for the “Menu” section here
  • X_Axis → See the user guide for the “Axes” section here.
    • Title & Labels : If icons are provided, you can choose to display icons and/or values for X-Axis label.
  • Y_Axis → See the user guide for the “Axes” section here.
  • Options
    • Chart : Choose here to get a Bar race or a Donut race.
    • Values : This setting allows you to set the display of values. You can choose the max number of values displayed for the race. If icons are provided, you can choose to hide or display label values and/or icons near the end of each bar.
    • Period title : This setting allows you to set the style of the period title. You can also set a specific date/time format for the period title (only available for inputs year/month/day/hour/minute/second), see the available formats here
    • Colors : This setting allows you to choose a gradient and/or mono/multi color for the chart.
    • Bar race : This setting allows you to set radius corners (all corners or only top corners) for the bars.
    • Donut race : These settings allow you to change de width of the donut and to hide/display the central label of aggregated values.
    • Pictures : Define here the size of the icons
    • Range : Define here the width of the slider

  • Measure
    • Measure : This setting allows you to specify the name of the measure in the labels (replaces the Webi object name, %SECTION% N4V variable can be used in the label), the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the maximum number of decimal places. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
