Description

  • Representation of a parent / child hierarchy on a double level solar disk.
  • The size of each sector reflects the measure indicated.
  • Possibility to use the functionality of linked elements on this graph (on the first and/or second levels).

How-To Video

Parameters

  • Dimension 1 : Dimension for the first level disc
  • Dimension 2 : Dimension for the second level disc
  • Mesaure 1 : Measure the sector size

Animations

  • Display the tooltip when you move the mouse over the slices of the pie.
  • When clicking on a slice, these one is detached from the pie
  • If an element linking is defined on the chart, when clicking on a slice, the linked chart is filtered with the corresponding dimension value. The linked element can be assigned to the first or the second level (not both for a same chart).

Use the Webi native element link function to make this graph interact with other elements of the same report (native Webi tables / graphs and / or Need4Viz graphs). Element binding can be defined on all objects or individually on one of the dimensions of the graph.

Settings

You can find instructions for accessing settings for Need4viz graphics: Format Custom Element.

For the Solar Disc, the available parameters are :

Global

  • Palette and Style
    • General : You can use the palette tool to define the colors used to build the graph.

Extended parameters

  • Global → See the user guide for the “Global” section here
  • Menu → See the user guide for the “Menu” section here
  • Options
    • Shape : This setting allows you to define the shape type of chart (Disc default, Donut, Hemicircle, or Wheel)
    • Color : This setting allows you to not degrade the parent colors for children colors. You can also set here a gradient effect on the chart
    • Borders: Allows you to modify the color and thickness of the borders
    • Labels: This setting allows you to modify the alignment of the labels in the zones and not to apply any highlighting of the labels
    • Sorting: This parameter is used to modify the sorting order of the areas in the circles. No sort = order of data as sent by Webi.
  • Selection → See the user guide for the “Selection” section here
  • Controls → See the user guide for the “Selection” section here
  • Tooltip → See the user guide for the “Tooltip” section here
  • Measure
    • Measure display: This setting allows you to specify the name of the measure in the labels (replaces the Webi object name, %SECTION% N4V variable can be used in the label), the unit to add as a measurement prefix or suffix as well as the measurement accuracy. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
  • Level_1
    • Conditional display : This setting allows you to define the threshold to display labels.
    • Aggregation : Define here the aggregate function to use
    • Percentage : This setting allows you to define the precision of percentage.
    • Tooltip values : You can choose here to display or not values/percentage in the tooltip.
    • Labels : You can choose here to display or not values/percentage on the chart. You can also define the font and the positioning of labels (size and distance from the center of the chart).
  • Level_2
    • Conditional display : This setting allows you to define the threshold to display labels.
    • Percentage : This setting allows you to define the precision of percentage. You can also choose the kind of calculation of percentage (from whole chart values or from parent value).
    • Tooltip values : You can choose here to display or not values/percentage in the tooltip.
    • Labels font : You can choose here to display or not values/percentage on the chart. You can also define the font and the positioning of labels (size and distance from the center of the chart).
