Description

  • Diagram of the pyramid of ages evolving over several years.
  • Ages can be grouped into 5 or 10 year ranges.
  • An animation allows you to scroll the pyramid over all the years.

Parameters

  • Dimension 1 :Select the year
  • Dimension 2 :Select gender
  • Dimension 3 :Select age
  • Measure 1 : Measures the number of individuals

Animation

  • Move the mouse over the pyramid bars to display the tooltip. Use the toolbar to scroll through the years.

For the Age Pyramid widget, the available settings are :

Extended parameters

  • Global → See the user guide for the “Global” section here
  • Menu → See the user guide for the “Menu” section here
  • X_Axis
    • Measure : This setting allows you to define a value for the axis unit divider as well as the precision and unit. You can also set the font of the axis values and choose to display only integer values.
    • Graduations : This setting allows you to display or not the graduations and set their style
  • Y_Axis
    • Label : You can set here the axis title and the font of the axis values.
    • Grouping : Choose to display Indvidual years or group in 5-year or 10-year intervals.
    • Hiding : You can hide top and bottom ages for empty value or define a fixed min/max age to not display empty values from/to.
  • Options
    • Position : You can choose here to overlap or not the “Year” header on the pyramid. You can also choose the vertical alignment of the pyramid inside the frame.
    • Bars : Choose here to display a gradient color for the bars. A rounded edge of the bars can also be defined.

  • Controls
    • Years list : Set here the style of the list of years.
    • Break : Define here the style of the break between the pyramid and the controls.
    • Animation : This setting allows you to customise the transition delay for each year value.
  • Header
    • Position : Define the position of the main header.
    • Year label : These parameters are used to hide or modify the style of the year label.
    • Population label : These parameters are used to hide or modify the style of the population label.
  • Legend
    • Position : Define the position of the legend
    • Display : These parameters allow you to hide or not the measures in the legend labels. You can also set the style of these labels.
  • Gender
    • Left gender : These settings allow you to customize the first gender color (set on the left). The gender value (eg Man, F,…) can also be specified (in case of absence of values passed by Webi).
    • Right gender : These settings allow you to customize the second gender color (set on the right). The gender value (eg Man, F,…) can also be specified (in case of absence of values passed by Webi).
  • Measure
    • Measure display : Define the precision of the displayed measurement here. The measurement display format (standard - e.g.: 2,345.67, compact - e.g.: 2.3K or compact long - e.g.: 2.3 thousand) can also be defined.
    • Value labels : This setting allows you to choose the label to display (none, the ratio or the value) and define the font of the labels.
    • Ratio : This setting allows you to define the ratio calculation → value regarding the total of the year, the total of the gender (for the current year) or the total of the range age (gender 1 & 2 of the same range for the current year). You can set the precision of ratio.
