Next release of N4V FOR WEBI

You can see here the features and fixes of the next release.
Red change item color indicates that a different behaviour can be observed in your charts between previous version of N4V and this version. You may use new settings to update your chart if desired.

Technical and functional evolutions of the solution. Main update :

• Global
  • New licence file : n4v.lic file is now needed to make N4V work (→ replacement of key.js file)
  • New Export CMS : a new export section (parameters, as the Export Server & Export FTP) is available (activate in the N4V Admin Web Console) to export the widget dataset directly in an xlsx file in the CMS. The exported file is generated on each refresh/scheduling of the report. The file replace a previous exported one. A Webi report can be built on top of the xlsx file.

  • Settings : Add > styled N4V templates library
  • Settings : Add > “Copy / Paste / Paste style” butons are now available on N4V panel
  • Settings : Fix > Axe Y manual format may not display all settings
  • Settings : Fix > When loading a template, setting may be apply even if it is unselected
  • Chart Recommender : Fix > Better affectation of dimension in the data feeding depending on the N4V element selected
  • Chart Recommender : Add > Chart proposed can now be displayed by family or by scoring

• N4V Dashboard Builder :

  • Enhancement : Structure of the DB is included in the html generated, you can now import in the N4V DB, the JSON of a db previously exported or the full generated HTML

• Drillbar :
  • Fix : Stored values of drill may generate errors after chart update (values stored not available anymore in the chart)

• Age Pyramid :
  • Fix : display values when only one gender is provided

• Bar race :
  • Fix : Quoted in title/subtitle may generate drawing errors

• Multi Drill :
  • Fix : Synchronized axes may not be displayed correctly when all measures one one axis are disabled
  • Fix : A ghost item may appear on x axis when less than 3 values are displayed
  • Fix : Display overlapped labels in the last drillup
  • Fix : Scroll main page when drilldown
  • Fix : Wrong display of the chart in case of values with the same name in different levels
  • Add : Stacked measure can now be displayed in reversed order

• Multi :
  • Add : stack measure can now be display in reversed order - depending on the previous version of N4V, native order displayed may be reversed. In that case, juste select the option to display it as before. Now the default order is the same in the Webi stacked charts, Multi chart and Multi Drill chart.

• Pivot Table :
  • Add : “Hide/Display” menu button directly available on the table
  • Add : “Cumulative sum (col / row)” agregator functions are now available
  • Add : Cumulative additional rows can now be displayed
  • Add : Variations additional rows can now be displayed

• Filter Table :
  • Fix : Searching text containing special characters may not works properly
  • Add : Filters are now linked by default (cascading filters)
  • Add : A new separated fold/unfold top zone for the filters is now available

• Google Maps lat/lon & address :
  • Enahncement : A new enhanced module of drawings is available
  • Add : A reset buton for the lasso selection is now available

• Sparkline :
  • Fix : Quoted in title/subtitle may generate drawing errors
  • Fix : An error may be displayed if the N4V menu is displayed on the chart
  • Fix : “curve” kind of chart may generate drawing errors
  • Deprecated : Global area opacity is now deprecated
  • Add : New option for area opacity (1% → 100%) is now available

• Timeline :
  • Add : Variation between values (select values by clicking on the points) is now displayed on the chart
  • Add : A toolbox showing aggregation valyes in the selected range is now available
  • Add : Lollipop chart is now available in the list
  • Add : Steps position option is now available

• Liquid Gauge :
  • Fix : Chart may be badly rendered in small window
  • Enhancement : Responsivity of the chart has been deeply enhanced (multi gauges on multi lines)
  • Add : A min height of the gauge (on multi lines) is now available (this can add a scrollbar to get the gauges visible)
  • Add : Predifined and custom SVG shapes are now available in the gauge (instead of default circle)

• Hemi Gauge :
  • Enhancement : Responsivity of the chart has been deeply enhanced
  • Add : The hemi gauge can now display multi gauges (treillis mode)
  • Add : a new animation is available (gauge that gradually takes shape, and the needle with spring-loaded movement)
  • Add : A tooltip is now available on the different zones (with highlighting of hovering zone)

• Trend tile :
  • Fix : %SECTION% variable in the title/sbtitle may generate errors

• Progress tile :
  • Fix : %SECTION% variable in the title/sbtitle may generate errors

• Chart tile :
  • Fix : Printing the chart may generate issue (chart not complete)
  • Fix : Display of tile in case of null values may generate errors
  • Add : %SECTION% variable is now available in the title/subtitle

• List Multi :
  • Add : The new mode of values selection is now checkboxes (with an all values selection). You can now search various values and select all or part of each result, the gloabl selection will be automatically updated.
  • Add : The list os selected values can be displayed (with a cross for quick unselection) on top of the validation buton
  • Deprecated : Auto-Selected values is now deprecated
  • Deprecated : Number of visible lines is deprecated, the component is now full responsive and list of visible items depends on the size of the frame
  • Enhancement : Search engine has been enhanced (case sensitive / accents)
  • Enhancement : Global rendering has been deeply enhanced

• Menu button :
  • Add : Gradient color is now available inside the frame
  • Add : N4V SVG icon can now be used in the frame

• Webi action button :
  • Fix : help page was only displayed in french

• Navigation :
  • Fix : An issue may be generated when selecting “Export JS function” in the “FTP export” settings
  • Fix : An issue due to corrupted Webi reports made the Input Control not correctly set to the selected value in the N4V widget
